Haryana: CM Saini to court Swedish investors in 4-day mission

Panchkula, Oct 13 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will leave for Sweden on Wednesday on a four-day investment mission aimed at securing foreign capital, advanced technology and industrial partnerships in defence manufacturing, automobiles, renewable energy, real estate and home furnishings, as the state seeks to expand its footprint in global manufacturing and supply chains.
During the October 14–17 visit, Saini will hold high-level talks with Swedish government officials, multinational corporations and potential investors, focusing on joint ventures, technology transfer, industrial expansion and employment generation, according to an official statement issued today.
The Chief Minister will address the India-Sweden Innovation Day 2026 on October 15, where a dedicated session will showcase Haryana's industrial strengths, investment policies and infrastructure before international business leaders and policymakers.
He is also scheduled to meet Sweden's Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa, to explore bilateral investment and industrial cooperation.
Defence production, precision engineering, electric mobility, automobile components, renewable energy, energy storage and sustainable infrastructure will dominate the investment discussions. A major priority will be linking Haryana's micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with Swedish manufacturers and their global supply chains.
The visit will also explore sister-city partnerships between Haryana and Swedish cities, with cooperation envisaged in urban planning, waste management, public transport, water conservation and sustainable housing.
Saini will participate in business roundtables and interact with industry leaders, financial institutions and Indian entrepreneurs based in Sweden to promote Haryana as a manufacturing and investment destination.
The government said the mission would seek to convert international engagements into investment proposals, technological collaboration, skilled employment opportunities and long-term industrial partnerships. UNI KK SS
