HCC elects new office bearers for 2026-27

Chennai, Sep 29 (UNI) The Hindustan Chamber of Commerce (HCC) elected its new office-bearers for 2026-27 at its 80th AGM held here last evening.
A chamber release today said Praveen Kumar Tatia was unanimously elected as the President.
It said Hiren B. Shah is President-Elect, Dr. Geetha Premkumar and M. Gopinath as Vice Presidents, Narendra Srisrimal as Treasurer.
Dr. Geetha Premkumar is the first woman senior Vice president this year too.
The occasion was also marked the virtual inauguration of HCC's new office in the city by Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker JCD.Prabhakar. The new office marks an important step forward in strengthening the Chamber’s Secretariat, enhancing member services and creating a more contemporary platform for its continued engagement with trade and industry.
In his address, Prabhakar emphasised the importance of industrial growth and sustainable economic development in Tamil Nadu and Chennai’s position as a major manufacturing and educational hub, and the need to further strengthen its industrial ecosystem.
He also stressed the need for closer interaction between industry and the Government to address industry concerns and support a conducive business environment.
In his acceptance address, Praveen Kumar Tatia outlined his commitment to taking the Chamber forward and strengthening its engagement with members and the wider business community.
