Heavy rain likely in Telangana in next 24 hours: Met

Hyderabad, May 17 (UNI) Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds with speed ranging from 50- 60 kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirsilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40-50 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in the state during the
next five days.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places or at a few places over Telangana during the next seven days.
Maximum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3-5 degrees Celsius in the state during the next 3 days
Rain occurred at a few places over Telangana during the last 24 hours, while the highest maximum temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad on Friday, the report added.
