In the first case, a team from HTM Police Station was patrolling near the service road on Raipur Road in Sector 1-4 on October 28, 2026, when it received a tip-off about the alleged illegal sale of country-made liquor. Acting on the information, the police apprehended Deepak, son of Krishan Kumar, a resident of Tarsem Nagar, Hisar.
During a search, the police recovered 13 bottles of country-made liquor bearing the brand name Malta Masti from his possession. The accused allegedly failed to produce a valid permit or licence for possessing and selling the liquor. A case was registered against him under the Haryana Excise Act at HTM Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
In the second case, police recovered 24 bottles of country-made liquor from a Creta car following a collision with a motorcycle near a canal culvert on the Chuli Kalan-Biran road in the Adampur area. The motorcycle rider, Ankit, a resident of Chuli Kalan, sustained injuries in the accident.
Upon receiving information, a police team reached the spot and found the Creta car off the road, towards the adjoining fields. The driver was not present at the scene. During a search conducted in the presence of independent witnesses, police recovered two cardboard boxes containing 24 bottles of Malta Masti country-made liquor from the middle seat of the vehicle.
No valid licence was produced for the liquor. The police took the bottles into custody in accordance with the prescribed procedure and initiated further legal action in connection with the accident and the recovery of the liquor.
Hisar Police said they are continuing their drive against the illegal sale and transportation of liquor. The police have urged residents to report any information about illegal liquor sales or other unlawful activities to the authorities. UNI KK AAB
