Hyd: Bansilalpet Stepwell Hosts Cultural Celebration Marking Taruni Clothing’s 35th Anniversary

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Music, classical dance and interactive art experiences came together at Hyderabad’s 300-year-old Bansilalpet Stepwell as Taruni Clothing marked its 35th anniversary with “Night Under The Stars” on Sunday night, celebrating the city’s heritage and cultural traditions.
The historic Asaf Jahi-era stepwell provided the setting for an evening that brought together heritage and contemporary cultural expressions.
Illuminated by warm lights and adorned with jasmine flowers, the venue hosted musical and dance performances alongside creative activities for guests.
A violin recital by noted violinist, composer and performer Abhijit Gurjale was among the key attractions.
Gurjale, who has contributed to nearly 200 films and has been associated with A.R. Rahman’s KM Conservatory, presented a performance whose notes resonated through the historic structure.
A semi-classical dance duet by trained dancers Meghna and Mrittika Mukherjee added to the cultural programme, bringing classical traditions to the celebration.
The event also featured interactive activities, including tote-bag customisation and perfume-making, offering guests opportunities to engage in creative experiences. The combination of music, dance, fragrance and the illuminated heritage setting gave the gathering a distinct cultural character.
Taruni Clothing Marketing Head Urvashi Kingrani said the event was the brand’s first community celebration at Bansilalpet Stepwell and was intended to bring people together through culture, music and dance.
CEO Divesh Malve and brand strategist Rhea Malve said the initiative reflected the brand’s vision of creating experiences beyond fashion by connecting heritage with contemporary culture.
By hosting its anniversary celebration at the historic stepwell, Taruni Clothing sought to highlight Hyderabad’s architectural heritage and bring renewed attention to landmarks that have stood the test of time.
The event also marked the brand’s appreciation for the traditions, relationships and trust built over its 35-year journey.
