Hyd:BRAOU, CSC sign MoU to expand access to higher education, digital services

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (UNI) Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) and Common Services Centres (CSC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate easier access to higher education and digital services for university learners.
The MoU was signed by Registrar Dr L Vijaya Krishna Reddy and CSC Senior Vice-President and Telangana State Head Madan Mohan Rout in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, the University said in a release on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Chakrapani said the university was taking steps to promote technology-enabled education and make higher education accessible to all amid digital transformation.
He said the partnership with CSC would take BRAOU's academic programmes and digital services closer to learners, particularly those in rural and remote areas, and strengthen the university's efforts to transform into a Digital University.
The Vice-Chancellor said the partnership would enable students to access information and services related to BRAOU's academic programmes through around 12,000 CSC centres operating across Telangana.
He said the initiative would help expand access to quality higher education not only across Telangana but also in other parts of the country in the coming days.
Prof G Pushpa Chakrapani, Director (Academic), Prof Pallavi Kabde, Coordinator, Skill Development and Vocational Training Centre, Dr Vignesh Sornamohan, Senior Vice-President, CSC SPV, Srinath Sudhamsu, DGM, Telangana, and other officials were present.

AP CM to distribute title deeds of houses to 25,880 families

Vijayawada, Sep 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will distribute title deeds of house sites to 25,880 families in Visakhapatnam on September 19.
Informing this media here on Thursday, Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad with the aim of providing houses to the houseless poor, the government had issued a GO to give title deeds of house sites to the poor.

Mallu Ravi demands withdrawal of UPI charges, calls it ‘Modi tax’
