India fortunate to have Modi as PM: R Krishnaiah

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) National BC Welfare Association president and Rajya Sabha member R Krishnaiah on Thursday said it was a matter of good fortune for the country that Narendra Modi became Prime Minister.
Speaking at celebrations organised at BC Bhavan to mark Modi’s 76th birthday, Krishnaiah said India was progressing rapidly under his leadership in the economic, industrial, technological and scientific sectors.
He claimed that corruption in political and administrative spheres was being curbed during the present government and urged people to cooperate with the Prime Minister.
Krishnaiah expressed hope that Modi would continue as Prime Minister for another decade in good health. Leaders of several BC organisations attended the programme. Current IMF commentary describes India as a key driver of global growth, while noting significant economic challenges and changing GDP rankings.
