Hyd: Task force police arrest two narcotic drug peddlers

Hyderabad, Jun 1 (UNI) The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team, Hyderabad City, arrested two narcotic drug peddlers police said here on Sunday.
The main ganja suppliers - Sk.Shabbir and Guddu ( both residents of Nagpur, Maharashtra state) are absconding.
Based on credible information, the Task Force Team along with Marredpally and Gandhinagar Police Station apprehended two Ganja Peddlers -- Bandhal Ganapathi Lakhan alias Chinna and Jerripothula Teja alais Nikhil (both residents of Secunderabad) and seized 1.6 K.Gs Ganja besides two mobile phones from the accused, said Y.V.S. Sudheendra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Hyderabad City, in a release here
Accused Lakhan, resident of Risala Bazar, who was doing Electrical works for his livelihood,didn’t get enough money for his lavish expenses and planned to sell Ganja to earn easy money.
He disclosed his plan to his friend Jerripothula Teja, resident of Chachanagar, Bansilalpet, Secunderabad.
Teja has arranged an amount of Rs.20,000 to Lakhan and asked him to buy and bring Ganja.
According to their plan, Lakhan has visited Nagpur and has purchased Ganja from Sk.Shabbir and Guddu for Rs.20,000.
After returning to Hyderabad, he gave 1.5 K.G Ganja to Teja as his share, the remaining kept with him for its sale.
On credible information on May 30, the accused Teja was apprehended and seized .1/2 K.G from him and on the next day, apprehended Lakahn while he was transporting Ganja near: Jubilee Bus Station, Secunderabad and seized Ganja from him.
Both accused were handed over to respective Police Station for taking further action.
