IGP Kashmir felicitates Srinagar Police for busting inter-state narcotics network

Srinagar, Oct 8 (UNI) Days after Police unearthed a structured inter-state narcotics network, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Sujit Kumar Singh felicitated the Srinagar Police team, led by SSP Srinagar G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, for successfully busting the network .
The felicitated team included Zonal SP Showkat Ahmad , SDPO M.R. Ganj Junaid Wali , along with the SHOs and Investigating Officers of Police Station M.R. Ganj , who played a significant role in unearthing the network during the investigation of FIR No. 135/2026 of Police Station Safakadal, police said.
The investigation led to the arrest of eight accused persons and the recovery of huge quantities of narcotic substances, cash, gold and other valuable assets worth crores of rupees. The investigation also exposed inter-state linkages and financial channels associated with the organised drug-trafficking network.
IGP Kashmir appreciated the professionalism, dedication and sustained investigative efforts of the Srinagar Police team , and encouraged the officers to continue their determined action against organised crime and narcotics trafficking.
