India emerging as trusted global partner: Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi

Pune, Oct 5 (UNI) India has demonstrated its ability to generate trust across competing global powers and is emerging as a trusted partner in manufacturing, defence technology and international cooperation, said Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, today.
While delivering the inaugural lecture of the Symbiosis Centre for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Lecture Series at Symbiosis International University, (SIU) Pune, he said, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is not just a utopian idea or an ancient Indian idea. It is a very pragmatic, relevant, modern-time idea. Today, when countries are increasingly suspicious of one another, India has demonstrated its ability to generate trust across competing global powers. We are neither for nor against any country. India is a member of both BRICS and the Quad, and this is possible only because we have been able to generate the trust of so many countries,
India is emerging as a trusted partner in manufacturing, defence technology and international cooperation, he noted.
Dr. Trivedi said, "Look at what is happening across the world. America, Europe and China are facing their own challenges. By process of elimination, who is likely to rise? India. We can see the best future ahead of us. The world's major companies are shifting manufacturing to India. But in that future, what matters is how we establish a connect with everyone."
In this scenario, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam will be a vital link, he added.
The lecture on 'The Relevance of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in Modern Times' was organised by the Symbiosis Centre for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam at the University's Lavale campus.
Prof. (Dr.) S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis, presided over the function. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International University, Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Vice Chancellor, SIU, and Dr. Asmita Dani, Dean, Academics, SIU were present along with faculty members and students.
