Iron Maiden thanks fans for their love after mammoth show in London with crowd of 75,000

London, June 30 (UNI) English heavy metal legends, Iron Maiden, released a video thanking fans for their love, after a juggernaut show in London Stadium, where over 75,000 fans raised the horns for the band, reports Metal Hammer.

"So here we are West Ham's football ground, the London Stadium," said bassist, primary songwriter, and band leader Steve Harris, who is also a lifelong West Ham United fan.
"But this is fantastic, obviously – for me especially – to be here, absolutely amazing."

The video then cut to the Cart & Horses pub in Maryland, the venue that calls itself the Home of Maiden, having hosted its earliest shows in the 1970s.

This also marked the venue over 75,000 fans who attended the show were gathering. The video also includes footage shot around and in the stadium itself, both before and during Maiden's set.

Part of the band’s Run For Your Lives tour, Iron Maiden’s gargantuan show marked the band’s biggest show in England in their 50 years of existence.

The tour included a setlist of their classic ‘80s material, featuring songs from both Paul Diano and Bruce Dickinson eras, with the drums now being handled by Simon Dawson, after drummer Nicko McBrain’s retirement from touring.

"I've enjoyed it here, it's a special occasion," concluded Harris. "Come on you Irons!"

The band is scheduled to play shows throughout Europe, hitting the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Netherlands.
