Varanasi, Oct 20 (UNI) On the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, the famous Annapurna Math temple in Kashi performed the traditional worship of weapons and flag-hoisting ceremony in accordance with Vedic rituals.
On this occasion, Mahant Shankarpuri Ji Maharaj of the Math hoisted the flag of Mother Annapurna with due rites.
Mahant Shankarpuri said that the tradition of hoisting the flag on Vijayadashami is a symbol of peace, bravery, and victory. ''This flag is not just a flag, but a symbol of the Sanatan tradition and the proclamation of victory,'' he said.
He said that the tradition of the Math was carried out by hoisting the flag of Mother Annapurna on the occasion of Vijayadashami.
Wishing Vijayadashami greetings to the people of Purvanchal, Kashi, and Kashi, and followers of Sanatan Dharma across the country, he prayed to Mother Annapurna to maintain happiness, peace, and prosperity in everyone's life.
Mahant said that the blessings of Mother Annapurna should remain on the entire Kashi and the countrymen and people should continue to celebrate the festival of Vijayadashami with the same devotion and enthusiasm.
