Haryana: Fifth accused arrested in June 6 murder case of 32-year-old man

Yamunanagar, Oct 20 (UNI) Haryana Police have arrested a fifth accused in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man, who was allegedly beaten to death in the agricultural fields at Nahar Taharpur village on June 6 following an old rivalry, a police official said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Pradeep, son of Baljeet and a resident of Nahar Taharpur, was arrested by Crime Branch-1, taking the total number of arrests in the case to five.
Crime Branch-1 in-charge Rajkumar said the victim, Naveen, a resident of Urjani village, was allegedly assaulted and beaten to death in the fields of Nahar Taharpur following a longstanding dispute.
Police had earlier arrested four accused — Vishwajeet of Dukheri village and Jitender Kumar, Ashish and Vansh, all residents of Nahar Taharpur.
All four have been sent to judicial custody.
Rajkumar said the latest accused had been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation, and the police were seeking his remand for further questioning.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, the spokesperson added.
