J&K: Over 30 passengers from West Bengal suffer injuries as bus turns turtle in Ramban

Jammu, Oct 1 (UNI) More than 30 passengers suffered injuries when a bus ferrying them turned turtle in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Police said that a Volvo bus on its way from Srinagar to Jammu turned turtle when the driver lost control on reaching near Ramban town.
Police, locals and paramilitary troops immediately swung into action and shifted the injured to the District Hospital Ramban.
"In total, 33 passengers were injured, of whom nine were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu," they said.
However, union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, in a post on X, said, "Spoke to DC Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, after learning about the road accident involving a passenger bus bearing West Bengal registration number."
"30 passengers were injured, of whom seven have been referred to GMC Jammu, while others are being treated locally," he posted, further adding that none of them has sustained serious injuries.
"All possible assistance and medical aid are being provided," Dr Singh said in a post.
