Jharkhand Assembly committee visits Arunachal Assembly to boost legislative collaboration

Itanagar, June 3 (UNI) The Committee on Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, led by Chairman Vikas Kumar Munda, paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Tesam Pongte, at his office chamber in the Assembly Secretariat here on Tuesday.
The visiting delegation included members Louis Marandi and Jairam Kumar Mahato. They held an extensive and productive discussion with Speaker Pongte on the functioning, procedures, and best practices of the Arunachal Assembly.
The Speaker, along with Deputy Speaker Kardo Nyigyor and Secretary Tadar Meena, felicitated the visiting members with mementos as a gesture of goodwill.
As part of their three-day study tour, the committee members visited key facilities including the Main Assembly Hall, Assembly Museum, and Library and interacted with the Assembly officers and staff.
“These interactions offered the delegates valuable insights into the institutional mechanisms and administrative framework of the Assembly,” stated an official release.
This visit reflects a shared commitment to fostering inter-state collaboration and facilitating knowledge exchange to strengthen legislative procedures and enhance public welfare delivery systems, it said.
The Committee is also scheduled to visit the picturesque Ziro Valley during their tour.
