Hubballi, May 22 (UNI) Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Thursday clarified that India's anti-terror outreach to various countries is not solely about "Operation Sindoor" but addresses Pakistan's ongoing role in supporting terrorism.
Responding to queries on India's international anti-terror efforts, Joshi stated that Pakistan has patronised terrorist activities over the past few decades. "After India targeted terrorist hideouts and camps, Pakistan unnecessarily retaliated. Despite India's firm actions, Pakistan continues to support cross-border terrorism," he said.
The Minister emphasised that this stance remains consistent and that India’s position on terrorism is being effectively conveyed to the global community by members from all political parties.
Joshi’s remarks come amid sustained diplomatic efforts aimed at exposing Pakistan's role in harbouring and supporting terrorist organisations targeting India.
In the ongoing Operation Sindoor, India has launched a significant diplomatic initiative to counter Pakistan's alleged support for terrorism. Seven all-party parliamentary delegations, comprising over 40 Members of Parliament and former leaders, have been dispatched to 33 countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, to convey India's zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
The delegations are scheduled to visit nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and several African countries.
Each delegation is carrying detailed dossiers linking Pakistan to various terrorist organisations, including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and the Haqqani Network. The objective is to present a unified political front on national security and highlight Pakistan's role in fostering terrorism.
The outreach efforts have garnered significant media attention, with reports highlighting the bipartisan nature of the delegations and their mission to expose Pakistan's alleged involvement in terrorism.
In response to India's diplomatic initiative, Pakistan has announced the dispatch of its own "peace" delegation to counter India's narrative. This move is seen as an attempt by Pakistan to present its perspective on the Kashmir conflict and address concerns over its alleged support for terrorism.
