K-pop band Enhypen releases new EP ‘Desire: Unleash’ ahead of world tour

Seoul, June 14 (UNI) Popular K-pop band, Enhypen, have released their sixth EP ‘Desire: Unleash’, ahead of their upcoming world tour across North America and Europe.
It was released under South Korean talent agency giant, Hybe’s Belift Lab label,
Making their American debut in California’s Coachella Music Festival, the seven-member boy band — comprising members Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo and Ni-ki — became an instant hit in the US.

Speaking of the concept behind the EP, Jungwon said, “Just as the title implies, the overarching theme and concept is desire. To elaborate a little bit on our lead single (‘Bad Desire’), there can be various forms of desire, right? I think one of them could be how you want to be equal to the person that you’re in love with. This song revolves around the concept of that and the struggles and internal conflicts that comes with love,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Heesung, talking about the band’s upcoming US tour, said, “I think it’s been a while since our last US tour, and we’re really excited to go and meet the Engenes (band’s fanbase) and in each state. We’re super excited for their enthusiasm. I know that they’re also very excited, and I just hope that we’ll be there in no time.”

Sunghoon called the new release “a very important album” for the group as it came it a “particularly important time.”
Elaborating, he added, “We’re standing at a critical juncture. That’s why it holds a very special place in our heart, and I believe this will mark a milestone in our career where the before and after are very different. I believe there has to be a difference as we go forward.”

Jungwon detailed the band’s trajectory, and their subsequent growth over the years, calling Enhypen a unique case, stating that the band’s ultimate desire was to communicate and connect with its fanbase, and share the journey of their evolution as band with them.
