Kakinada SP plants sapling as part of 'Swacha Andhra' in DPO

Kakinada, Jun 21(UNI) As a part of the 'Swarna Andhra-Swacha Andhra' programme, Superintendent of police Garikipati Bindu Madhav on Saturday inaugurated a plantation programme by planting a sapling in the district police office(DPO) campus here.
Police officers of all ranks and personnel also participated in the plantation programme with a view to improve greenery that brings down the temperature in the summer.
Under the instructions from the SP, cool roof painting was done to the entire district police office.
Fans were arranged at the sentry duty points to ensure the police on sentry duty would discharge their duties comfortably. Cool water kiosks were arranged to quench the thirst of the visitors .Police sources said that in all the police stations in the district similar programmes were organized as a part of Swacha Andhra .
