Bengaluru, May 7 (UNI) Operation Sindoor on Wednesday got wholehearted backing from the family of Manjunath Rao, a Karnataka native who lost his life in the dastardly April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmie's Pahalgam.
Their emotional tribute highlighted national pride, justice and the collective resolve to fight terrorism, following the Indian Army's retaliation.
"My son's sacrifice has not gone in vain. We had faith that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take the right action — and he has. The Indian Army has given a fitting reply to the attackers," said Sumati, the mother of Manjunath Rao.
Echoing her sentiments, Ravi Kiran, a relative of Manjunath, said the operation holds deep emotional significance for the family and their community.
"The very name — Operation Sindoor — struck a chord with us. Back in our student days, we spoke of Sindoor with pride. The Pahalgam attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, shook us all. This operation is not just retaliation; it is a tribute to those we lost. We are united in our grief and in our resolve."
The family expressed unwavering pride in the Indian Army and reaffirmed their solidarity with the nation’s fight against terrorism, calling the operation a symbol of justice and national determination. UNI BDN SSP
