Kharge revives BJP’s ‘Achhe Din’ promise, says people have waited 12 years amid inflation

New Delhi, Oct 28 (UNI) Congress president and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday accused the Narendra Modi government of failing to provide relief from inflation, alleging that rising prices, mounting household debt and declining financial savings had placed an increasingly heavy burden on families.
Reviving the BJP’s pre-2014 slogan against inflation, he said people had spent 12 years waiting for the promised “Achhe Din”.
In a post on the social media platform X, Kharge alleged that while the government was bent on taking away people’s right to vote, its economic policies were also undermining their right to live with dignity. He argued that rising prices were steadily eroding household incomes and making it increasingly difficult for families to meet their daily expenses.
