Kiara Advani in talks to portray Meena Kumari in upcoming biopic

Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) Bollywood actress Kiara Advani may soon step into the illustrious shoes of legendary actress Meena Kumari in an upcoming biographical drama chronicling the life of the iconic "Tragedy Queen".
Ever since the biopic was announced, speculation has been rife over who will portray the actress. However, credible sources now indicate that the filmmakers have approached Kiara Advani for this iconic role. The rights of this mega-budget film have been bought by Siddharth P. Malhotra in association with Saregama and the Amrohi family. There is already a tremendous discussion about this film being made on a large scale.
The director and creative team believe Kiara is the ideal choice for the iconic role due to the emotional depth and grace it requires. They have already narrated the script to her, and while Kiara reportedly loved it, she is yet to give her final approval. If Kiara says yes to this project, then this can be the first film to be shot after her pregnancy, which makes this project more special.
Another intriguing aspect is who will be cast opposite her as Kamal Amrohi, the legendary filmmaker and Meena Kumari’s former husband. The chemistry between the leads will be crucial in capturing the poignant intensity of their relationship. UNI NST SSP
