KTR slams Congress for betraying Telangana, urges people to teach Delhi parties a lesson

Hyderabad, Apr 13 (UNI) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that the state has paid a heavy price for trusting a “deceptive leader.”
Addressing a gathering of BRS party workers in Malkajgiri, KTR accused Revanth Reddy and the Congress party of misleading the public with hollow promises, resulting in growing public disillusionment.
“Believing a fraudster once is a mistake. Falling for him again becomes our mistake,” KTR warned, calling on the people of Telangana to reject the Congress party decisively in all upcoming elections, including the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls.
KTR criticised the Congress-led state government for its alleged inaction and lack of direction. “While the state struggles, only Revanth Reddy seems to be celebrating. Even his ministers, MLAs, and party workers are disgruntled — the public needs no further explanation,” he said.
He praised Malkajgiri MLA Rajasekhar Reddy for his commitment to addressing public issues. “From fighting against the menace of dumping yards to protesting government negligence, Rajasekhar Reddy has shown that true leadership brings real change,” KTR added.
Calling for a political reset in Telangana, KTR urged voters to hold both the Congress and BJP accountable in the upcoming local body elections. “Regardless of the election or occasion, it’s time to send a clear message to the Delhi-based parties. Only BRS truly represents the spirit and identity of Telangana,” he asserted.
KTR invited party members and supporters to actively participate in the BRS Silver Jubilee celebrations scheduled for April 27. “Completing 25 years is a proud milestone. We are only the second party in the Telugu states to achieve this,” he remarked.
Ahead of the meeting, a massive rally was held in Malkajgiri to welcome KTR. Several senior leaders from both the Congress and BJP joined the BRS in his presence, further strengthening the party's base in the constituency.
