Kumar Sanu promises television set to ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ contestant’s family

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Singer Kumar Sanu has come forward to help Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 contestant Durgesh Yadav's family by promising to gift them a television set, allowing his parents to watch him perform on the reality show.
Durgesh's guru, Pandit Girija Shankar Tripathi, will be making a special appearance in the upcoming Diwali special episode of the show. Durgesh had been wanting to invite his guru to the show for a long time and seek his blessings. To fulfil his wish, the show's team invited his guru to the set and surprised him.
During the conversation, it was revealed that Durgesh, a resident of Mau, Uttar Pradesh, was a family dependent on agriculture and lacked a television. Learning this, Sanu announced that he would give his family a television.
He said, “I will send a TV to your house today itself, so that your parents can sit together at home and watch your performance in the show.”
The Diwali special episode will celebrate the festival with musical performances, jugalbandhis, and fun activities. Show host Shreyas Talpade will also be seen having fun with the cast and contestants.
'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm on Zee TV and Hindi Zee5.
