Mumbai, May 24: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has made history by securing a Guinness World Records title for the "most life insurance policies sold in 24 hours." This unprecedented feat was achieved on January 20, 2025, highlighting the extraordinary efforts of LIC's extensive agency network across the country.
On the record-breaking day, a staggering total of 4,52,839 LIC agents collectively issued 5,88,107 life insurance policies, setting a new global benchmark for agent productivity within a single day in the life insurance sector.
Speaking on this remarkable accomplishment, Siddhartha Mohanty, CEO & MD of LIC, expressed his gratitude to all customers, agents, and employees who contributed to the success of the initiative dubbed "Mad Million Day." The campaign was designed to motivate every agent to sell at least one policy on January 20, 2025.
