Nashik, June 1 (UNI) A five-year-old boy was killed when a leopard attacked him near Nalwandi Road in the Dindori Taluka of the district on Saturday night.
According to police sources, the deceased boy was identified as Rudra Amoll Jadhav (5).
On Saturday night at 9 pm in Dindori, while five-year-old Rudra Amol Jadhav was walking home with his grandfather, Dattatray Jadhav, a leopard concealed within the Jadhav settlement attacked Rudra, seizing him from Dattatray's grasp and dragging him away.
The Jadhav family, along with other local residents, began a search for Rudra. After two hours of searching, they eventually located him.
Rudra was taken to Dindori Rural Hospital in an injured condition, where doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, all the farmers and citizens of Dindori have blocked the road due to this incident.
Former MLA Dhanraj Mahale and Sameer Harishchandra Chavan, along with several corporators from Dindori, have participated in the road blockade. As a result, traffic on the Nashik-Saputara road has come to a standstill.
