Mumbai, June 16 (UNI) An alleged bomb threat sent shockwaves through an international school in Kandivali area of Mumbai on Monday morning, triggering panic among students, staff, and parents.
Promptly responding to the threat, the Samta Nagar Police, accompanied by a bomb disposal squad, conducted a thorough search of the entire school premises but found no explosives, police said.
The incident unfolded when the school received a threatening email early Monday. Acting swiftly, the school administration immediately alerted the police and evacuated everyone from the campus as a precautionary measure. The timely response helped prevent any harm, and relief spread once the bomb squad confirmed the absence of any suspicious devices.
A case has been registered at the Samta Nagar Police Station against an unidentified individual under relevant sections pertaining to criminal intimidation and causing public alarm.
Police have launched a detailed investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email and identify those responsible.
