Nanded, May 25 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for achieving the historic feat of India becoming the fourth largest economy in the world.
In the congratulatory message, Pawar said, "India's economy has reached the four trillion dollar mark, and our country has become the fourth largest economy in the world today, which is a matter of pride and joy for every Indian. This success is the result of the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the consistent concrete decisions taken by the government.
"Maharashtra is fully equipped to achieve the goal of 'Developed India-2047' given by him. I heartily congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this historic achievement.
"This is not just a leap in numbers, but a testament to competent policies, effective leadership and solid implementation. With the young population that India enjoys, guidance from institutions like NITI Aayog and effective coordination between the state and central governments, India will become the third largest global economy in the next two-and-a-half to three years," he said.
"India's economic progress is credited to the hard work of the common people of the country, the contribution of the industry and the decisive, effective leadership of the central government. ...this success is inspiring us to move towards more comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable development," Pawar added.
