Maha: Lightning claims two lives in Nagpur

Nagpur, Sep 20 (UNI) Two farmers were killed after being struck by lightning in Maharashtra's Nagpur district, police said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Saturday night in Tishti Khurd village under the jurisdiction of Mohpa police station.
According to police, the victims, who were cousins, had gone out to graze their cattle but did not return home.
Concerned family members launched a search and later found them lying dead near a village temple.
The deceased were identified as Tiburaj Rajeram Kanfade (64) and Laxman Ghanshyam Kanfade (55).
Preliminary investigations suggest that the duo had taken shelter at the temple during a spell of rain when lightning struck the area, killing them on the spot.
Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
A detailed investigation into the incident is underway, police added.
