Maha: Nashik engineers receive State-level Outstanding Engineer Awards Inbox

Nashik, Sep 29 (UNI) Superintendent Engineer Surendra Kankarej and Executive Engineer Ankush Palve, working under the Nashik Regional Public Works Department, have been announced as recipients of the Maharashtra government's State-Level Outstanding Engineer Award for 2025-26.
Surendra Kankarej, Superintendent Engineer, Vigilance and Quality Control Board, Nashik, and Ankush Palve, Executive Engineer, Public Works Division, Nandurbar, have been selected for the prestigious award in recognition of their outstanding technical and administrative contributions.
The recipients were felicitated with individual mementoes and certificates of appreciation at a grand ceremony in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, Public Works Minister Shivendrasinhraje Bhosale, Minister of State for Public Works Indranil Naik, Additional Chief Secretary Milind Mhaiskar, Secretaries Sharad Rajbhoj and Abasaheb Nagargoje, Chief Engineer Arundhati Sharma and other dignitaries.
The award honours engineers who demonstrate exceptional technical expertise in executing public infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, government buildings and other public works. Their dedication and professional skills are recognised for their valuable contribution to society.
The awards are presented on September 15, on the occasion of Engineers' Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
In addition to the two engineers, Bharat Rathod, Draftsman; Mahesh Kalamkar, Junior Clerk; and Pushkaraj Kulkarni, Storekeeper, from the Nashik Regional Public Works Department have also been presented with the Outstanding Officer/Employee Awards. They received individual mementoes and certificates of appreciation at the same ceremony.
The announcement has been widely welcomed, with colleagues and well-wishers congratulating all five awardees on their achievement and valuable service to the Public Works Department.
