Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) Petrol and diesel prices continue to be a matter of daily concern for the people of Maharashtra, as fuel rates directly impact household budgets and inflation expectations.
On May 30, 2025, the latest petrol and diesel prices were announced at 6 AM, and citizens are advised to check the updated rates in their respective cities before heading to the fuel station.
According to today’s data, petrol prices in most cities of Maharashtra remain above 104 per litre, while diesel prices are generally above 91 per litre.
For example, petrol is being sold at 104.89 per litre in Ahmednagar and 104.18 in Akola, while diesel is 91.40 and 90.74 per litre respectively. Aurangabad records petrol at 105.18 and diesel at 91.68 per litre. Mumbai City continues to offer the lowest rates, with petrol at 103.50 and diesel at 90.03 per litre.
Several cities, including Hingoli, Jalna, Latur, Nanded, Parbhani, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, and Yavatmal, have petrol priced at 105.50 and diesel at 92.03 per litre.
These fluctuations are primarily due to changes in international crude oil prices, as well as local factors such as VAT, transportation charges, and state taxes. The daily revision system ensures that fuel prices are adjusted in line with global market trends, providing transparency for consumers. Today’s rates show a slight dip in prices in some cities, offering minor relief to vehicle owners.
