Maha: School girl crushed by speeding dumper, 3 injured

Nashik, June 30 (UNI) A 12-year-old school girl was killed on the spot and three others were injured when a speeding dumper hit them at Nagapur phata on the Nashik-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar state road in Niphad taluka of Maharashtra's Nashik district today.
Police said the girl who died in the accident has been identified as Siddhi Mangesh Lungse (12). Siddhi was standing on the side of the road at Nagapur Phata on her way to school this morning wjem she was hit by the speeding dumper. Siddhi was trapped under the rear wheels of the high-speed dumper and died on the spot.
Anushka Jamdhade, who was with Siddhi, was injured. Meanwhile, the dumper hit a couple of village council employees from Chandori, Vishwanath Jadhav and his wife, who were riding a two-wheeler, were seriously injured.
Following this, the Saikheda police rushed to the spot.
The villagers of Nagpur and Chandori blocked the road for two and a half hours. The angry citizens also demanded that strict action be taken against the dumper driver. UNI RDS SSP
