Maha: Two younger sisters drown in well in Wardha district

Wardha, Sep 24 (UNI) Two younger sisters drowned after accidentally falling into a well while drinking water in a field at Selu in Maharashtra's Wardha district, officials said on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Unnati Sachin Satone (10) and Divya Sachin Satone (7).
According to information received, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon when the sisters had accompanied their father, Sachin Satone, to the farm after school hours.
While attempting to drink water near well, they reportedly slipped and fell into it.
On receiving information about the incident, local residents and family members rushed to the spot and made efforts to rescue the girls.
However, both sisters could not be saved and were declared dead.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
A case of accidental death has been registered and further investigation is underway.
