Make Yoga part of life: Kakinada collector

Kakinada, Jun 21(UNI) District Collector Shan Mohan on Saturday advised people to make Yoga a part of their lives for their physical and mental well being.
Addressing as the chief guest at the mega Yoga programme with over three thousand participating at the three lights junction along endowments office road here, he said yoga practice provides physical fitness and relieves mental stress. He said people of all ages could practice yoga at their homes as a daily exercise.
Under the directions from the state government Yogandhra programme was organized for one month successfully to mark the 11th International Yoga day’ he added.
District superintendent of police Garikipati Bindu Madhav, state civil supplies corporation chairman Thota Sudhir MLC Karri Padmasri, Kakinada municipal commissioner Bhavana Vasisht attended as the guests of honor. Yoga Guru Raghavananda imparted various Yoga exercises including Pranayama to the participants.
