Man drowns in Vilholi lake while going fishing

Nashik, June 26 (UNI) A 32-year-old man drowned while going fishing in a lake in Vilholi village near here, police said today.

According Nashik taluka police, the man was identified as Laxman Dasgrath Jadhav, resident of Viholi.
Laxman had gone to the lake in Vilholi to fish with his friends yesterday afternoon. He failed to gauge the depth of the water, and ventured deeper into the lake, and drowned.
Swimmers were sent to locate him at night, but to no avail. His bloated body floated up in the lake water this morning.
The body was then taken out.
DYSP Vasudev Desale, Mridula Naik and Nashik Taluka Police personnel were present during the search operation. Vilholi Police is conducting further investigation into the matter.
