Meghalaya to introduce speed limit slabs to curb road accidents

Shillong, Mar 24 (UNI) Vehicles of all categories in Meghalaya will now have to be driven within speed-limit slabs to reduce accidents and also safer roads for pedestrians.
Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Transport, Sniawbhalang Dhar said that within the next three months, all roads within the state would have different speed limits.
“I had held a meeting to chalk out plans to have the speed limit with officials from different departments who would help enforce the new rules,” he said.
