Ministers lay stone for construction of Flyover Bridge

Guntur, May 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh, accompanied by Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, laid the foundation stone for the construction of Flyover Bridge at Shankar Vilas centre here on Wednesday.

The Flyover Bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 98 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister Durgesh said that the construction of a Flyover Bridge at Shnkar Vilas centre was a long pending demand of the people of the city.

“The construction of Flyover Bridge will lead to development of the city and it will also ease traffic snarls in the city. The Naidu headed coalition government is taking up many development works across the state,” he observed.

The Minister emphasized the need of constructing the flyover to address the future needs of the city. The construction of the Flyover Bride was metalized due to the efforts of Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, he extolled.
“Many issues which have been pending for a long time, will be taken up now. The local representatives of people are evincing interest to develop the city and resolve the long pending issues,” the Tourism Minister maintained.

Kandula Durgesh assured justice to those who were displaced for the construction of the Flyover Bridge, stating that steps will be taken to ensure that their livelihood will not be vitiated. Taking a dig at the former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Tourism Minister noted that the people of the State had noticed the difference between a leader with a vision and a leader without vision.

During the five years of the YSRCP regime, the YSRCP leaders had given priority only to carry out vindictive politics, and at the same time, neglected development of the State, he criticised. He claimed that anarchic rule prevailed for five years during the YSRCP regime while the development activities sidetracked.

“The Naidu headed coalition government is implementing many welfare schemes, and at the same time, it is prioritizing development of the State as well,” he highlighted, adding that many development works have been launched during the last 10 months in the State.
Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhr assured of completing the construction of Flyover Bridge expeditiously and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would dedicate the bridge to the people. MLAs Galla Madhavi, Nasir Ahmad, district Collector Nagalakshmi and other leaders were among those who took part in the programme.
