Missing five-year-old child traced within an hour by Jafrabad police

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) A five-year-old child reported missing from the Jafrabad area was traced within an hour and safely reunited with his family, police said on Wednesday.
According to North-East District Police, information about the missing child was received at Jafrabad police station around 9:59 pm on September 15.
Acting promptly on the information, a dedicated police team along with beat staff reached the area near Pooja Public School, opposite Gali No. 4 on Brahmpuri Road, and launched a search operation.
The team, working under the supervision of ACP Tanvir Ashraf and the SHO of Jafrabad police station, searched the surrounding area and traced the child within an hour.
Police said the child was found in a safe and healthy condition. After due verification, he was handed over safely to his mother and other family members.
The North-East District Police said the prompt and coordinated response by the police team ensured the safe recovery of the child and his reunion with his family.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police, North-East District, IPS officer Rahool Alwal.UNI PWS AAB

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) The Supreme Court has declined to reconstitute the five-member High-Powered Enquiry Committee (HPEC) headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice R. Subhash Reddy, which was set up on August 18, 2026, to probe allegations of police excesses during the July 20 crackdown on student protesters at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and elsewhere in the country.
