Patna, June 24 (UNI) Condemning American bombing on Iran, Communist Party of India (CPI) national general secretary D Raja today alleged that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not utter even a single word criticising the American act.
After addressing the joint meet of state executive and district secretary, Raja told news persons here on Tuesday that the American attack was in violation to the UN Council Charter. He said "Modi should ask his friend and American President Donald Trump to stop bombing on Iran".
Raising fingers at Modi's silence and moral voice of the country over the prevailing circumstances, the CPI leader wondered when international law was being trampled upon and the clouds of war were looming over West Asia, why was Modi maintaining silence.
Accusing the Modi government of "failing on all fronts", Raja alleged that the foreign policies of the government proved to be a :major failure".
Exhorting the party workers to prepare for the Bihar assembly elections, Raja said CPI has decided to support the general strike called by the central workers' organisations on July 9. He said the general strike was primarily called against the implementation of lthe abour codes, which were a key part of the corporate agenda aimed at severely curtailing the basic democratic rights of workers, including their right to organise and take collective action.
He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was aggressively pursuing its neo=liberal agenda and was aggressively moving toward privatisation of vital national resources, especially in strategic sectors such as defense and communications. UNI RS SSP
