Modi Govt committed to total eradication of terrorism: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay

Karimnagar, May 21 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday said that the Narendra Modi-led central government is firmly committed to

eradicating terrorism in all its forms.

He was speaking at an Anti-Terrorism Day rally organised by the Karimnagar District Cricket Association.

Launching the rally by waving the national flag, the Union Minister said the mindset of the people across the country has changed significantly after the Pahalgam incident, with citizens now expressing readiness to support the fight against terrorism alongside the armed forces.

He lauded the Indian Army’s swift and precise action in crossing into Pakistani territory to destroy terrorist camps without harming civilians.

"The credit for these successful operations goes entirely to our brave soldiers. Their use of advanced technology and strategic precision has ensured the safety of our borders," he stated.

Highlighting Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism, Kumar said, “That country has become a safe haven for terrorists, providing both shelter and financial assistance. The Modi government recognised this threat and took decisive steps to dismantle terrorist infrastructure across the border.”

Referring to previous terror attacks such as the Mumbai blasts, Lumbini Park, Gokul Chat, and Mecca Masjid incidents, he noted that these tragic events had awakened a strong sense of unity and patriotism among citizens.

"It is heartening to see that people, NGOs, and state governments are standing firmly behind our armed forces,” he added.

Kumar emphasised the need for collective action against terrorism, urging every citizen—regardless of age or background, to participate in the fight. “There should be no ambiguity in our resolve. Terrorism in any form must be completely eradicated.”

He also commended the Karimnagar District Cricket Association for organising the rally and raising awareness about national security on the occasion of Anti-Terrorism Day.
