Thiruvananthapuram, June 24 (UNI) The mortal remains of Malayali nurse Ranjitha G Nair, who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash on June 12, were brought to Kerala on Tuesday morning.
The mortal remains were brought in on an Air India Flight AI2617 at the Thiruvananthapuram Domestic Airport.
Later, the relatives of the plane crash victim received the mortal remains from the Domestic Cargo office near T1. Air India has arranged an ambulance for sending the mortal remains from Thiruvananthapuram to her native place at Pullad near Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta district.
Earlier, a Kerala government official was suspended for making derogatory remarks against the plane crash victim.
A. Pavithran, a junior superintendent attached to the Vellarikundu taluk office in Kasaragod district, was suspended with immediate effect, Kerala Revenue Minister K Rajan said in a Facebook post on June 13.
"This is a despicable act on the part of the official. He was suspended with immediate effect after his Facebook post came to my attention," the minister said.
