Nabin, Fadnavis offer prayers at Siddhivinayak, Lalbaugcha Raja

Mumbai, Sep 16 (UNI) BJP National President Nitin Nabin and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday offered prayers at the famous Shri Siddhivinayak Temple and Lalbaugcha Raja here on the occasion of Ganeshotsav.
Nabin, who is on a one-day visit to Maharashtra, was warmly received by Mr Fadnavis on his arrival at the Mumbai airport. Minister Jaikumar Rawal, Mumbai BJP president and MLA Amit Satam, and Mayor Ritu Tawde were also present.
The BJP president and the Chief Minister first visited Siddhivinayak Temple and later proceeded to the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Ms Tawde also offered prayers at Lalbaugcha Raja for the happiness and prosperity of Mumbaikars.
Speaking after the darshan, Mr Nabin said it was his first visit to Maharashtra after assuming charge as BJP national president and described his visit during Ganeshotsav as a matter of great fortune.
He extended Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to Mr Fadnavis and the Maharashtra BJP team and said the state, known as the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, was making a significant contribution to the country's development.
Mr Nabin said India was progressing with renewed emphasis on its culture and traditions and referred to the development and cultural revival witnessed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in recent years.
He prayed for the progress and prosperity of Maharashtra and the country and called for collective efforts towards building a Viksit Bharat while reiterating the Prime Minister's message of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”.
Later, Mr Nabin is scheduled to leave for Pune, where he will visit Kasba Peth Mandal and the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple for darshan and puja.
