Prudential Financial Opens First India Innovation Centre in Gurugram

Panchkula, Sep 22 (UNI) Prudential Financial Inc (PFI), a Fortune 200 company with a history spanning nearly 150 years, has opened its first innovation centre in India at Gurugram's Cyber City under Haryana's Global Capability Centre (GCC) policy.
Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh inaugurated the PFI Innovation Centre India on Monday, saying the global financial services company's decision to establish its first such centre in India at Gurugram reflected growing investor confidence in Haryana's business ecosystem.
"The opening of PFI's first innovation centre in India at Gurugram reflects Haryana's growing global recognition and the confidence of investors in the state," Singh said.
He said Gurugram had emerged as a major global business hub, backed by a strong ecosystem in financial services, information technology, consulting and advanced technologies.
The minister said the new centre, set up under Haryana's GCC policy, would focus on innovation and high-skilled work in areas including finance, artificial intelligence, and technology, as well as other emerging fields.
Singh said Haryana's availability of skilled manpower and high-quality talent had made the state an attractive destination for global companies looking to expand their operations in India.
Citing feedback from the state, the minister said Haryana's GCC policy was among the leading GCC policies in the country. He said the incentives offered under the policy were competitive and the government was focused on ensuring that benefits reached eligible companies quickly and without unnecessary procedural hurdles.
The state government, he said, was also seeking to create more opportunities for Haryana's youth to work with global companies and acquire skills in emerging technologies.
"Our effort is to provide global companies with a conducive policy environment and the necessary facilities for investment, expansion, research and innovation," Singh said.
Senior Prudential Financial executives, including Executive Vice-President and Chief Technology and Operations Officer Scott Case, Executive Vice-President and Chief People and Experience Officer Vicki Walia and PFI Innovation Centre India Vice-President and India Head Praveen Goyal, attended the inauguration along with senior officials of the Haryana Industries Department, according to a press release issued by the state Industries and Commerce Department.
