NLMC completes three-city outreach for E-auction of 459 RINL land parcels

Hyderabad, Sept 26 (UNI) The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), a wholly owned Government of India company, has concluded its three-city investor outreach programme ahead of the October e-auction of 459 land parcels belonging to Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
Investor meetings were held in Visakhapatnam on September 23, Vijayawada on September 24 and Hyderabad on September 25 to familiarise prospective buyers, investors, developers and other stakeholders with the land portfolio and the auction process, an official release said here.
The Visakhapatnam meeting attracted more than 150 participants in person, while over 50 others joined virtually while the meetings in Vijayawada and Hyderabad saw the participation of around 50 to 60 people each.
Queries relating to the properties, eligibility criteria, registration and bidding procedures were addressed by officials.
The meetings covered plot locations and sizes, terms and conditions, registration procedures, earnest money deposit (EMD) requirements and the bidding process.
NLMC Executive Director Pradeep Kumar, General Manager Sunil Sahu and RINL General Manager (HR) Binay Prasad interacted with prospective buyers and other stakeholders during the programme.
The 459 land parcels, covering 93,572.21 square yards, are located in HB Colony, Maddilapalem and Auto Nagar in Visakhapatnam.
The portfolio comprises 456 residential plots in HB Colony, covering approximately 87,949.77 square yards, and three plots in Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka, covering 5,622.44 square yards.
The individual plot sizes range from approximately 128.94 square yards to 2,728 square yards.
Quikr India Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the transaction consultant for the e-auction.
The auction will be conducted through the RailTel E-Nivida e-procurement platform in two sessions.
The first session, covering 243 plots, will be held on October 12 and the the deadline for registration and submission of EMD for this session is October 8.
The second session, covering 216 plots, is scheduled for October 16 and the last date for registration and EMD submission is October 14.The EMD is Rs. 2 lakh per auction.

NLMC CEO Rohan Chand Thakur said the outreach programme enabled officials to engage directly with prospective buyers, explain the transaction process and address queries from participants across the three cities and those joining virtually from outside India.
He said NLMC remained committed to facilitating a transparent and structured mechanism for monetising non-core assets of Central Public Sector Enterprises.
The transaction consultant and RINL teams will continue to assist prospective buyers and clarify queries regarding the land parcels, registration requirements, EMD and bidding procedures until the auction.
NLMC facilitates the monetisation of surplus land and non-core assets of Central Public Sector Enterprises and other government entities.
RINL, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, operates the integrated Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and is facilitating the monetisation of identified non-core land assets in coordination with NLMC.
