Hyd: BikeWo, Moonrider sign MoU to explore electric tractor deployment

Hyderabad, Sept 30 (UNI) Hyderabad-based BikeWo Green Tech Limited and electric tractor manufacturer Moonrider have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the deployment of electric tractors across agricultural, industrial, commercial and institutional applications.
The partnership will combine Moonrider's electric tractor technology with BikeWo's capabilities in fleet deployment, leasing and operations to identify potential customers and develop suitable commercial deployment models, the company said in a release on Wednesday.
The companies will explore applications across agriculture, industrial facilities, warehouses, logistics hubs, airports, ports and other controlled environments where electric tractors could meet specific operational requirements.
BikeWo will also assess opportunities to support Moonrider's existing and prospective customers through fleet deployment, leasing and operational services to facilitate the adoption of electric tractors.
Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said the collaboration would help identify institutional and specialised applications where electric tractors could offer commercially viable solutions based on utilisation patterns and operating economics.
The partnership forms part of BikeWo's strategy to expand beyond conventional last-mile electric mobility into specialised electric vehicle applications and integrated mobility infrastructure.
The company plans to work with original equipment manufacturers and technology providers across vehicle categories to develop deployment models for enterprise and institutional customers.
Under the MoU, the companies will jointly identify potential customers, evaluate pilot projects and explore commercial opportunities.
Any vehicle deployment, procurement or leasing arrangement will be subject to separate definitive agreements, the companies added.
