Billtrust Inaugurates Hyderabad GCC, Announces Rs 450-Cr Investment

Hyderabad, Sept 28 (UNI) B2B financial technology company Billtrust on Monday inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Raheja Mindspace , Madhapur, with a commitment to invest Rs 450 crore over three years and expand its workforce in Hyderabad to 1,000 employees.
The 40,000-square-foot facility was inaugurated by Telangana IT Minister D Sridhar Babu along with Billtrust CEO Grant Halloran and members of the company's global leadership team.
The centre, which has a capacity to accommodate 250 employees, has already grown to 100 employees within six months of commencing operations.
The company plans to build a workforce of 1,000 over the next three years, focusing on engineering, artificial intelligence (AI) development and operations.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had a strong pool of skilled technology professionals and assured the company of the Telangana government's continued support for its expansion.
He encouraged Billtrust to leverage the state's technology ecosystem, including T-Hub and the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), to access trained talent in emerging technologies.
"Telangana will be a partner in your progress," the Minister said, reiterating the government's commitment to strengthening the state's global capability centre ecosystem.
Billtrust CEO Grant Halloran said Hyderabad's technical talent, infrastructure and government support had contributed to the centre's growth.
He said the facility would play an important role in integrating AI into the company's global platform and strengthening its engineering and operational capabilities.
Farhad H. Baria, Country Head of Billtrust's India GCC, said the company had built a 100-member team within six months and would continue expanding its capabilities in Hyderabad.
The facility's design incorporates elements of Telangana's cultural heritage and India's artistic traditions.
Its Hyderabad centre will support the company's global operations through technology development, AI and customer service operations.
The investment and planned workforce expansion further strengthen Hyderabad's position as a destination for global capability centres and technology-led operations.
