Hyd: IACC Summit calls for robust digital infrastructure to power India's AI growth

Hyderabad, Sept 25 (UNI) More than 100 business, technology and policy leaders on Friday participated in the inaugural Digital Infrastructure Summit 2026 organised by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) here, with discussions focusing on building secure, scalable and sustainable infrastructure for India's next phase of AI and digital growth.
Organised by the IACC Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Branch with CtrlS Datacenters as the Presenting Partner, the summit brought together representatives from industry, government and finance to discuss digital infrastructure, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, sustainability and investment opportunities.
IACC Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chairperson Dr Sreedevi Devireddy said next-generation infrastructure would be a key catalyst for India's digital transformation and highlighted the need to scale data centres, Global Capability Centres, cybersecurity and AI-ready technologies.
The inaugural session featured a theme address by Srikanth Badiga, Group Director, Phoenix Group, Chairman of SEZEPC under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Director, NEC, IACC.
Chandra Shekhar Sarma G, CISO and Director of Compliance, CtrlS Datacenters, delivered the opening keynote on infrastructure security, while former IACC National President and Global Infovision Managing Director S Purnachandra Rao delivered a special address.
US Consul General in Hyderabad Laura Williams, the Guest of Honour, highlighted opportunities for India-US technology and trade cooperation.
Williams said initiatives including Mission 500, COMPACT, TRUST and Pax Silica offered opportunities for investment, supply-chain partnerships and market access in Telangana and across South India.
Sarma said the convergence of AI, cloud, hyperscale computing, edge technologies and data-intensive applications was reshaping infrastructure requirements and that the next phase would require high-density computing, resilient connectivity, reliable power, sustainability and scalable infrastructure.
The summit also featured a keynote by CtrlS Datacenters CIO Anil Nama on "The Future of India's AI & Cloud Landscape" and a session by Vivifi India Finance Managing Director Anil Pinapala on "The Build & Scale Journey".
Two panel discussions focused on building India's AI and digital infrastructure capital and on resilience, reliability, security and green transformation in the digital economy.
The first panel discussed ecosystem development, venture capital and local scaling, while the second examined clean power, sustainability and cybersecurity requirements for hyperscale data centres.
