Amazon launches ultra-fast delivery service 'Amazon Now' in AP, Telangana

Vijayawada, Sep 25 (UNI) Global online retailer Amazon here today announced the launch of its ‘delivery-in-minutes’ service Amazon Now in Anantapur.

Customers across the city can get access to a wide selection of tens of thousands of daily essentials from groceries (including fruits & vegetables and frozen food), personal care, fashion and beauty products to small appliances, home and kitchen products and more - all delivered within minutes.

Amazon revealed that popular categories on Amazon Now in Anantapur are everyday essentials such as fruits & vegetables, milk, bread, dry grocery such as cooking oil, ghee, biscuits and confectionery among others. Interestingly, customer demand in Anantapur is reflecting a growing preference for premium products alongside everyday needs. Demand is strong for premium chocolates, personal care and home care.

Amazon Now has expanded to 4X as many cities in less than 10 weeks, taking delivery-in-minutes to over 60 Indian cities and towns ahead of the festive season, including tier II & III towns such as Padubidri, Tirupati, Guntur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Vellore, Dharwad and Anantapur. Amazon Now is on track to reach 100 cities by Diwali.

These orders are delivered within minutes through a specialized network of over 750 micro-fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres. Customers in Andhra Pradesh continue to enjoy fast delivery, with over one million products available same-day, over four million the next day, and millions more with unlimited, free Prime delivery.
