Hyd: Amara Raja announces fourth edition of Better Way Awards for rural, women entrepreneurs

Hyderabad, Sept 25 (UNI) Amara Raja Group on Friday announced the fourth edition of its annual 'Amara Raja Better Way Awards', which recognise rural and women entrepreneurs driving employment, income generation and innovation across villages and small towns in India.
The $2-billion global conglomerate has introduced a new category, 'Changemaker of Tomorrow', for graduate and postgraduate students developing innovative ideas, solutions or business models aimed at creating scalable pathways for rural development and upliftment.
Instituted in 2023, the awards will recognise enterprises and initiatives across four categories — Women Employment, Rural Income Generation, Best Agri-Based Business and Changemaker of Tomorrow, the company said in a release here.
Each winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh along with a year of structured mentoring in finance, human resources, marketing, information technology and supply chain, the company said.
The awards are aimed at recognising entrepreneurs creating employment and income opportunities in rural areas, particularly women-led enterprises.
Over the previous three editions, nine entrepreneurs and enterprises have been recognised nationally, including Thanima Products and Marketing from Kerala, Siyanjali Retails from Himachal Pradesh, Farm2Fam from Maharashtra, Resham Sutra from Ranchi, Bhaumya Innovations from Telangana, Shreeja Mahila Milk Producer Company from Tirupati, Anuttama Products Pvt Ltd from Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, Ilaagri Services Pvt Ltd and Ayurarogya Saukhyam Foundation.
Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts based on their social and community impact and contribution to local employment.
Applications are open through the Amara Raja website and the last date for submission is November 11.
