Manipur CM visits Kuki militant camp after death of three Meitei villagers

Imphal, Oct 25 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Sunday visited Sinai Camp, a designated Suspension of Operations (SoO) site in Kangpokpi district, following a joint security operation that reportedly found 17 individuals allegedly posing as registered cadres using fake identities.
The visit marked what the state government described as the first visit by a sitting chief minister to a designated SoO camp.
The operation, conducted by the CRPF’s CoBRA unit, Manipur Police and other security agencies, resulted in the camp being disarmed and taken over by the CRPF, intensifying scrutiny of the SoO agreement amid growing demands for its abrogation.
