Odisha govt suspends Assistant Executive Engineer in DA case

Bhubaneswar, June 29 (UNI) The Odisha government today suspended Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Ganjam Block, Susil Kumar Panda, following his arrest by the Vigilance on charges of possessing disproportionate assets.
Panda will be produced today before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur.
Based on searches conducted at various properties linked to Susil Kumar Panda, Vigilance officials found him in possession of disproportionate assets, including one multi-storeyed building, two flats, six high-value plots, 126 grams of gold, bank and insurance deposits worth around Rs.1 crore, and Rs.2.05 lakh in cash—all of which he failed to account for satisfactorily.
A case has been registered against Panda by the Vigilance Department in Berhampur, and the investigation is currently ongoing, Vigilance sources said.
